Merry Traveler ®

Merry Traveler is a reverse seated walker.   The person is normally using a forward pushing walker with a seat, but is unable to sit down because the seat is not behind the person.   Merry Traveler addresses this problem by providing a high seat behind the person as they walk.   The person does not have to lock brakes, turn around and sit down on a low seated rolling walker.   The seat height of the Merry Traveler is placed high so it is available for the person to just sit on, placed right under the buttocks of the person. Replacement parts are also available (see below).  The Merry Traveler comes complete as pictured.

The Merry Traveler is a relatively new product that has been added to the Merry Walker Corporation product line. The Merry Traveler is a reverse seated folding walker which offers a high seat placed behind the person who is able to sit down when rest is required. The Merry Traveler was designed to replace forward pushing hand-braked walkers which require the person to turn around and sit down in order to use the seat.

When an alert elderly person is at risk for falls, lives at home or in an assisted living facility, then the Merry Traveler just might be the ideal device for that person.
